Moving into a new home is an exciting time, but it comes with plenty of responsibilities. It's our goal to make the moving process as simple as possible for our tenants, which is why we've created the checklists below. Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

You must pay you first month's rent, along with the security deposit and any other applicable fees, at the time of the lease signing.

Move-in Date & Inspection

Your move-in date & inspection will be scheduled at the lease signing. We will go through the move-in checklist together at this time.


Please note, as a Paramount Property Management tenant, you are responsible for keeping all utility accounts associated with your rental home in good standing. Please call utility providers immediately upon taking occupancy, in order to put the accounts in your name. 

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Your lease defines the legally agreed upon move-out date for your property. If you are planning to leave your home, please provide us with written notice in advance. Remember, you are responsible for all rent due through that date, even if you leave the property earlier than previously expected.

Property Condition

Your rental home must be returned to its original condition before you hand in the keys. Refer to the checklist completed at your move-in to refresh your memory on all of the items we will verify after you move out.

  • Rental Cleaning: Carefully clean every room in your property and remove any of your belongings. You'll need to vacuum and shampoo the carpets, wipe down all hard surfaces, and sanitize bathroom and kitchen spaces.
  • Landscaping: If you routinely address maintenance chores outside (mowing the lawn, weeding, etc.), please take care of these once more before vacating the premises.
  • Repairs: Please take the steps necessary to address cosmetic damage in your rental home, including nail and screw holes or unapproved paint colors.

Security Deposit

A final inspection will be performed after you vacate the premises. If the current state of the rental home does not fit with the notes on our move-in report, we will schedule repairs. All expenses associated with these repairs will be deducted from your security deposit. The remainder will be promptly returned to you.
